I was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. I was blessed to marry my junior high sweetheart. He is the love of my life; surrounds me with beautiful plants and he also built my studio to encourage me to explore working with clay...my other love. I enjoy hand building techniques and I often use various textures including lace and smooth coils as well as patterns found in nature.
I love working with clay and have an obsession with antique lace doilies! I appreciate the countless hours that went into stitching each one and I want to capture those patterns in the clay instead of tucking them into a drawer only to be lost forever! Remembering Grandma crocheting and holding a Bible in her lap is one of my sweetest memories. I hope you enjoy my efforts and are inspired to live your life sharing the simple things in life with those you love.
